It’s been 14 years since I started this business. Back in 2007, when I first decided to establish Ruhama Furniture, I never expected it to grow more than a side income source.

My entrepreneurial journey began in 2002 but since I had no knowledge of this industry, things got difficult. Even more so because I was the sole breadwinner for a family of six.

Even though I started my business amid the raging Covid-19 pandemic, by the Grace of the Almighty, we were able to dodge any severe losses to our capital.

Going down the memory lane, I first started as an ice-cream seller and earned only BDT 350. It was little but I saved up as much as I could to reinvest in a grocery store.

Although my business is running well, there are still problems I face regularly. Starting from financial issues to daily transactions, I have also faced problems in human resource management.

The inception of Albaly Furniture was very simple. I had just finished my Bachelor of Social Science and dove right into this business. I knew I had to do something that was entirely my own…
