My entrepreneurial journey began in 2002 but since I had no knowledge of this industry, things got difficult. Even more so because I was the sole breadwinner for a family of six.

Growing up, I knew that one day I had to bear the responsibility of handling this prominent enterprise, and I planned my career aspirations accordingly.

Even though I started my business amid the raging Covid-19 pandemic, by the Grace of the Almighty, we were able to dodge any severe losses to our capital.

I would showcase my sample products at the front of my 80 sqft workspace, and managed to catch the attention of some corporate people who would come to Hazaribag for work.

I was born right here in Hazaribag and let me tell you, there was a time when ‘leather’ meant Hazaribag as well. So, I have seen and been around the leather industry all my life.

Going down the memory lane, I first started as an ice-cream seller and earned only BDT 350. It was little but I saved up as much as I could to reinvest in a grocery store.

Do you want to know who inspired me to get into this business? It was my bad luck. As you know, we are just a middle-class family, so we are always thinking of how to earn more while continuing our jobs.
