Smart Hybrid Battery

I started my entrepreneurial journey 12 years ago, in 2010. However, it was not the current venture which I started. My previous business was about solar energy. Later on, in 2013, I switched my position slightly and got into manufacturing solar batteries. A partner came on board, and we successfully launched our new business where we had our own factory for production. I must say that my business ventures have taken many unpredictable turns over the years.

The industry that I’m involved in is quite unique, to say the least. Because when I started manufacturing solar batteries, there were very few businesses like mine. But that does not mean I and my partner made a ton of profit. There were a few reasons for that. When I was a sole proprietor of my company Silicon Power Limited, I focused on local sales and import-export. So, that business was going great because I could strategize the whole thing myself. However, when my partner joined, we had to change our strategies.

It’s always tough to suddenly shift the ideologies and plans that I’ve been thinking of for years. Before partnering up, I believed that we would be able to grow together, but that didn’t happen. My partner wanted different things from the business which did not align with my thoughts. So, the business decisions were not exactly according to my plans. That’s why we were not able to grow the business like I wanted to. Although those 6 years from 2013 to 2019 were not that great for my business, I learned a valuable lesson. I realized that I could reach greater heights if I made my own decisions without any restrictions.

With that realization, I knew what I had to do. After my partner left in 2019, I started my solo enterprise again. However, a problem stood in my way. My partner’s new business was named Silicon Battery Limited, which sparked a confusing situation in the market. So, finally, my Smart Hybrid Battery was born. Here, I tried to focus on the Easy bike, Mishuk, Solar IPS Battery market and started planning for the future.

But the future is always so unpredictable, isn’t it? Who knew that a contagious virus would impact our lives so severely? When the Covid-19 outbreak was rampant, our business took a substantial hit. The lockdowns halted our production, and my employees were unable to work. Still, we sold our batteries to retailers and consumers in some way or another. But the damage was tough for me to recover. With the shortage of raw materials, my production was fell by almost 50%. That’s why it was very difficult for me to make a profit like before.

Though the situation is changing, I’m yet to recover from the losses. I don’t know how long it’ll take to get to the previous state. The introduction with LightCastle Partners through their B-SkillFUL project helped me to learn about the recovery process from the pandemic situation. I’m thankful for their support and hope to learn more from them. Now, I can only hope for the best and keep my faith in the Almighty.
